Talk to people here the way you'd talk to them on the sidewalk. Disagree about the best fish and chips all you like — just keep it about the chips, not the person. Assume good intent, welcome newcomers, and remember there's a real person in your actual city behind every handle.

Some things get you removed, no warnings:

• Harassment, bullying, or pile-ons
• Hate speech or discrimination
• Sexually explicit content — and anything sexualizing minors is reported to authorities
• Threats or encouraging harm
• Spam, scams, and impersonation

See something that crosses the line? Open the ⋯ menu on any post or comment and report it — every report is reviewed within 24 hours.

You can also block any user from their profile. Blocked users disappear from your feed and can't interact with you. You never need a reason.

Content that breaks these rules is removed. Accounts that break them are banned — immediately for the zero-tolerance items above. The full details are in the Terms of Use.
